Watch and Work - Checkup - Tooth Shear on the CT1140 Around the Crankshaft Sprocket: Cause and Solutions
Tooth shear occasionally occurs on certain engines with an oval crankshaft sprocket, often after work has been carried out on the high-pressure fuel pump. This might happen, for example, when replacing our CT1140 timing belt on 2.0-liter engines from Opel, the 2.0 / 2.2 Blue HDi engines from Citroen and Peugeot, the Ford 2.0 TDCi / ECOnetic / ECOBlue units or on the Toyota 2.0 D4d. You can find out the reason for this and what you can do to prevent it in this video.
