Personal data that you enter will be processed by ContiTech Deutschland GmbH (hereinafter "ContiTech") for the purpose(s) stated below. Insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose, data may be passed on to companies affiliated with ContiTech Antriebssysteme GmbH within the meaning of §§ 15 ff. (German) Stock Corporation Act in accordance with Continental's Binding Corporate Rules.

Data processing

Your data is processed exclusively on the basis of the following data protection regulations (legal basis):

SERVICE PROVIDERS collect and process your personal data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement.

Additional information regarding the use of the online webinars via Cisco Webex

Please note that the webinars are offered exclusively via Cisco Webex Events. Your data will be processed by Cisco Webex Limited (based in the UK) on behalf of ContiTech in accordance with a commissioned processing agreement (including the EU standard contractual clauses). The data is processed for the purpose of conducting the webinars and for statistical analysis to improve our webinar offering.

Specifically, the following data is collected:

  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Public IP address

DATA MINIMISATION
Please note that it is not necessary to enter your real name. For data minimisation purposes, we recommend the use of an alias and a non-individualised email address. However, the provision of a valid email address is required for the transmission of the link to participate in the seminar.

DATA TRANSFER TO THE USA
The collected data is also transferred to the USA for analysis purposes as part of the Webex Analytics services. The USA is an insecure third country in which there is no level of data protection comparable to EU standards. These deficits in the level of data protection cannot be compensated for in all cases by technical measures. There is therefore a risk that your personal data transmitted in this respect may be accessed by government agencies without you having effective legal protection against this. Please note our information on the possibility of data minimisation.

Data subjects’s rights

We would like to point out that as a data subject you have the following rights under the EU GDPR in connection with the processing of your personal data:

Protection of the stored data

Our company and our SERVICE PROVIDERS use technical and organisational security measures in order to protect the personal data you have made available to us from manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. The security measures are continuously improved and adapted in accordance with the state of the art. Data disclosed in unencrypted form may possibly be viewed by third parties. For this reason, no secure transmission can be guaranteed with regard to data transmission via the Internet (e.g. communication by unencrypted e-mail). Sensitive data should therefore either not be transmitted at all or only via a secure connection (SSL). You can determine the SSL status of the connection from the address line of your browser ("https").

Cookies

When you visit our website / web app, information may be stored on your computer in the form of a so-called cookie (small text files). Technically necessary cookies are only used to ensure the operation of the website.
